Meet the Staff

Dr. Wayne J. Harper, Executive Director (EdD) [full-time]

Dr. Harper is a licensed Psychologist with specialty training in Health Psychology and Geriatric Psychology. He received his Doctoral Degree from the University of Louisville and did his Internship training at the Vanderbilt University Medical School. He has been elected to two Academic Honors Societies and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Kentucky Psychological Association. Prior to joining the Kilgore  Center, Dr. Harper was Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for a large managed care organization and, prior to that, had been in private practice for several years. Wayne sees teens, adults, couples and families in therapy. He conducts psychological testing for children, adults and the elderly for emotional problems, ADHD, and Dementia.  He specializes in teen and adult attentional disorders and in couples and marital relationships. Dr. Harper is also the chief Psychologist for a number of nursing homes in the area.

Jane S. Myers, Staff Therapist (B.A., M.S.S.W., M.Div.) [full-time]

Jane Myers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She has a Master of Science in Social Work from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jane is certified in the Academy of Certified Social Workers of the National Association of Social Workers and is a member of the American Association of Family Therapists and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Having worked as a clinical social worker for over 18 years, Jane provides individual, family, couples and group therapy with adults, children and adolescents.



Dr. Lee Baucom , Staff Therapist (Ph.D. M.Div., Th.M.) [part-time]

Lee Harrison Baucom holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Theology Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is an ordained Southern Baptist minister. Lee received his Ph.D. in Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining Kilgore, Lee worked as a hospital chaplain, taught at the graduate school level, and directed a family services program. Lee is the author of the ebook, Save The Marriage and Save Your Christian Marriage. He is also the creator of two DVD’s on dealing with stress and anxiety, Stress Free and The Blessing Of Peace. Lee works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He has specialized training to deal with family and couple issues.. including pre-marital. marital, and divorce counseling. Lee is also trained in community building and conflict mediation. It is Lee's goal to bring issues of spirituality and emotional well-being to his clinical work.

Raleigh Ridge, Staff Therapist (LCSW, BCD) [Full Time]

Raleigh Ridge, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Diplomate (BCD).  She has many years of experince in working with families, individuals and couples.  She has managed large therapy practices and trained new therapists working toward their degrees.  Her areas of specializatin include Employee Assistant Programs (EAP), workplace issues, marital issues including infidelity and divorce, grief and loss, family conflicts, anxiety, depression, money management, chemical dependency and military issues.  Raleigh has also run her own small business and taught in high school and college.  She is married and has six grandchildren who add sparkle to her life.

 

Sue Goodman , Staff Therapist (LCSW, BDCD) [Part time]

Sue Goodman is a licensed clinical social worker and a board certified diplomate who has been in the mental health field for over 25 years. She works with individuals and families in a private practice setting and specializes in grief work, marital counseling, parenting issues, depression, chemical dependency, stress management, anxiety disorders and work related difficulties. Sue is an experienced Employee Assistance Program (EAP) therapist who worked in the therapy office of Magellan Behavioral Health for 17 years in downtown Louisville. Sue has previously served as an adjunct professor at two universities and has assisted large corporations and their employees in dealing with critical incident stress debriefing, management consultation and problems in the workplace.

 

William Green , Staff Therapist (LSCW, CEAP, AAMFT Clinical Member)

Bill received his BA degree from the University of Louisville in 1972. In 1975, he graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained into the ministry. In 1980, he started his graduate work in Social Work at the Kent School of Social Work, and in December, 1982, he graduated with and MSSW. He went back to school in 1989 to get a post graduate diploma in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville’s Marriage and Family Therapy Post Graduate Program. He completed this in 1991. Bill received his LCSW in 1991. Also, in 1991, he became a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Bill has had much experience dealing with families through his work at youth centers. He helped create programs for the youth involving all of the family in their treatment. He became a Certified Employee Assistance Professional in 1996 and is certified to conduct Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, where major trauma has happened in a workplace setting.

Pam Hogwood Wilson, Staff Therapist (LCSW) [Part-Time]

Pam Wilson is a licensed clinical social worker with 30 years of diverse clinical experience with individuals of all ages, couples and families. She is a graduate of Grove City College and completed her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) at the University of Tennessee. Before co-owning a clinical practice with her husband for nearly 20 years adjacent to Ft Bliss in El Paso, Texas, Pam worked at a residential treatment center for teens, several adoption agencies and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. From 2006-2011, Pam served as a clinical social worker for the US Army’s Family Advocacy Program at Ft Campbell and then as case manager for the Warrior in Transition Battalion at Ft Knox. Married for 29 years, she has two children and recently welcomed her first grandchild. She is also an avid reader, loves to travel and try new foods, is active in her faith community, is a racewalker, and had roles in two community theater productions last year. 

Brenda Fletcher , Office Manager (BBA) [Full time]

Brenda G. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from the University of Kentucky. Brenda’s management experience includes a physical therapy clinic, a small community hospital, a construction company, and her own newspaper in eastern Kentucky. She also worked for many years in the national headquarters of Omicron Delta Kappa, The National College Honor Society.

Melissa Watson, Receptionist [Full time]

Melissa Watson has been with Kilgore Samaritan Counseling Center for nearly four years. She came here with experience managing the front desk at other mental health facilities. Her duties here include obtaining insurance approval, a task which requires extensive patience and determination. She answers the phone with a cheery voice and schedules patients, answers their questions, gives directions to our facility and helps the therapists stay on task.

Melissa is the married mother of four children and one grandson. Her children are her special delight and give meaning to her life. She and her husband like to travel and love the outdoor life. We are very fortunate to have her here. Melissa Watson has been with Kilgore Samaritan Counseling Center for nearly four years.
